A native of Albany, Georgia, Robert M. Margeson, III graduated from Albany High School in Albany, Georgia.
He attended Auburn University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science from Auburn University in 1969. Also, while attending Auburn, he played on Auburn's Varsity Football team in 1964 through 1967, starting as left inside linebacker on Auburn's 4 x 4 defense in both 1966 & 1967, receiving several honors during that time. Thereafter, he attended Mercer Law School in Macon, Georgia, where he received his Juris Doctorate in 1972 from Walter F. George School of Law, Mercer University. He is married to his former college girlfriend, Jane Gardner, and they have been married for 56 years and have two children: his daughter, Leigh Ann Flynn, and his son, Dr. Richman M. Margeson, both of whom live in Albany, Georgia, and four (4) grandchildren.
Robert knows what it takes to win difficult cases for clients with a tough background. He has obtained multimillion-dollar recoveries for his clients and has obtained positive results for many of his clients. He is a highly respected litigator who puts his client’s interests first.
Robert is admitted to practice in all Courts within the State of Georgia, including but not limited to the Georgia Court of Appeals, the Supreme Court of Georgia, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Georgia, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, and the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals. He is currently an active member of the Georgia Bar in good standing and has actively practiced law in Leesburg, Georgia, for 3 years, and then in Albany, Georgia, for 53 years. He has personally tried an extensive number of cases and has a successful general law practice. Robert is a former member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association (GTLA) and currently a member of the State Bar of Georgia.
